Bio: In 1932 Wihelm Schmditz was a high ranking member of one of the various police forces of the Weimar Republic, He had just joined the Nazi Party Two years ago. In 1933 when Hitler gained power he was awarded the Golden Nazi Party Badge and was also he was appointed the decently high ranked SS-Sturmbannfuhrer in the Sicherheitspolizei and made a Honorary SS Member. For years Wihelm Worked in a nice office tracking down criminals and politcal undesirables for the Nazi State. After 1939 when the Sicherheitspolizei was Folded into the Gestapo he was once again promoted to SS-Obersturmbannfuhrer/ Oberregierungs- u. Kriminalrat of the Gestapo. in 1941 he toured one of Germany's Jewish Conceration camps, to find out a large smuggling ring among the jewish prisoners. He this efficently and later he wrote in his personal Journal that he was sickened by what he saw in the camps, but he then contuinte to say if this was the Fuhrer thought best for Germany he would go with it.
Later in 1942 he was moved to Paris france to find out a large ring of resistance. at the beginning of 1943, after intense questioning of a captured French Resistance member he found out the names and locations of over many French Resistance Soldiers. Soon over two hundrend and fifty French Resistance members were captured and executed. For this service he was awarded the Silver German cross and promoted to SS-Standartenführer/Regierungs- u. Kriminaldirektor
Reichskriminaldirektor One of the highest ranks in the Gestapo. In Late 1943 he was transferred to the Eastern Front to command the Einztagruppen's Killing of P.o.Ws and whatnot and the Gestapo and similar organztions securing and or destroying important papers and such under the German Retreat. He was also awarded the Totenkopf ring.
In 1944 he was again transfered to the Front in France to do the same as he did in Russia. Finally in 1945 he was awarded the Twenlve year SS Long Service award. After the fall of the bunker he taken to the Nuringberg trials and after saying he did no direct warcrimes he was let free. Eventually in 1946 he arrived in America.
